Don't worry:) I haven't checked this page for a long time as well.
I started working as a full time teacher at the language school I had worked from April. It's hard actually. sometimes I'm wondering this job suits me or not... but still trying hard.

How about you? You've been busy all the time?

I visited England in the end of March and I visited Australia a few days ago!! that was nice :)

Sorry I haven't replied to you for a long time!
I haven't checked this site for a while.

I've been busy with my dissertation for a moment. It's really challenging for me...

You've been teaching students with special needs?
Sounds hard, but might be interesting. My younger sister went to a school like that.

I've been teaching a new level. It's still hard for me, but interesting.

Sorry I didnt reply for a while. I was in South Korea for a couple days and was busy with a part-time job. I had a good time in Korea, but I've been tired now.

I'll check language learning through skype as soon as possible. I hope I can find some good ideas.

You had work experience in a zoo!? sounds fun!

Thank you for writing the suggestion about language learning at the forum.
We still have lots of problems about using internet, but learning languages through internet is quite useful and many people use it and learn today. We have to sort the problem aobut some countries and regions where don't have enough internet connecton out though...
One of my friend has been teaching his language through skype. so, learners can talk with a native speaker. I think skype is good way to communicate with people who live in different countries. Also, skype is easy to use and free to chat.
As you said, we can make sound file etc simple because the aim of this project is to know other cultures throuhg the internet, so we can intoduce our languages and how to learn them. It should be trigger to know and learn different cultures and languages.

That's a good idea. We can think something about language learning on Global Connection project. It might be great!

I agree with you. Living in the country where the target language is spoken is good way to learn a language. Learners can have much chance to speak and they have to.
Yet, some people succeeded to learn different languages in their own countries. I think, learning languages is getting easier because of internet. We can get many tools to learn!
Sometimes I use BBC website to keep my listening skill.

Canada and New Zealand seem nice I've never been thogh. I'd like to visit these places someday.

Learning different languages is quite hard I think. It takes a few years...

What have you taught now?

I've been to Penzance, Lands end, Kynance cove etc (many places in Cornwall), but I dont know a lot about Wales actually... that's shame. I'd love to travel in Wales next time. I heard gower is nice place!

If I had a choice, of course I'd like to have a job in the UK! it seems difficult to get a job as a Japanese teacher though... but I'll try hard.

How about you? Would you like to teach somewhere else?

Hi Saul,
It's very nice to meet you here on the global connections network. As a teacher could you see yourself designing a project about the South African dilemma. Don't you think it would make for very interesting research. I always think of South Africa as a fairly well-developed place with the British colonization having provided firm foundation for the economy. I was very surprised to get this message about rationing electricity. It will be interesting to see if we hear from Charlene.
