Global Connections in Education 2008

We can use a Celebration of Teachers for focusing our global exchange. One of my students in NYC sent a link about World Teacher's Day for honoring teachers around the world. We can use this ning space to share our appreciation for our teachers as well as for our students. Please join the ning and find another teacher here to join with you in the Celebration. It's fun to meet new people and use ICT's to share with each other.

Dear Prof. McPherson
First let me say, I enjoyed your class. There are ways I'd tweak it to be more relevant,,,but overall, it was a learning experience. As far as celebrating Teachers Day around the world, I say CELEBRATE! I started working with Princeton Review today and I realized something.... I just love teaching, I just love connecting with adolescents... I love having an effect on them... I just love the job and how it makes me feel. So kudos to all of us around the world who have committed a portion of our lives to making a difference in the lives of few in a world of many....

I have connected with Ben Tonna and will see to it that we collaborate on a project after the Holidays. I truly hope it works out. But this portion of our class was incredible and connecting (ha ha Global Connections) with teachers from other parts of our world proved to be inspiring and intriguing and I intend on following through with this endeavor.
