Happy Pagwa to all! If you do not know what this celebration is about, you may view my ning page (sanjeevita.ning.com) and look at the Queens events where you will see what is it truley about (pictures of parades and events that took place). In a nutshell, Pagwa is Hindu a celebration of colors and happiness in which it represents Spring! We use colored dye or powder and place them on others so that everyone could look like a garden of beatuiful colored flowers. So happy Spring and God bless.

Hi Evita,
Thanks for the video and sites!
I actually love watching Hindi movies... My parenst are from Bangladesh and my mom used to always watch them, so I grew up knowing how to speak Hindi. :)
This Pagwa celebration reminds me of another celebration: Holy (I think that's how it's spelled)... I've seen it many times in the movies and they play around with colors while wearing white clothes. Is this the same celebration, or am I just thinking of something else??
